Rakiura Tiny Home - Tiny Home Awards 2022

Ecospace NZ have entered their stunning and eco-friendly 22m2 Rakiura Tiny home into the 2022 NZ Tiny House Awards for the following categories

• 1 vote for “Most Creative design”

This build is a completely nomadic, self sufficient tiny home, sustainable tiny home, with off grid components hidden throughout the tiny home and trailer chassis. Built from Formance SIPs this home is going to be a warmer, healthier and more environmentally friendly home than a timber frame one!

The brief was to design and build an eco conscious, flexible, compact 6 x 3 metre tiny home that could be uplifted and moved with ease for their clients changing work locations in New Zealand’s South.

Named after the Māori name for Stewart Island, and a favourite walking track of Ecospace's client Craig, it was important that the design, materials, and colour choices really showcased this beautiful rugged natural landscape of the South Island, as well as the sustainability ethos keeping tomorrow in mind.
